I've somehow ended up involved with four fandoms at the same time. I have no idea how this happened, because I've always been a one-fandom kind of gal. I often jump back and forth between them, but I usually stick with the same one for at least a month before hopping onto the next. Recently, though, I've been playing around in multiple fandoms at the same time, which is just plain old strange.
Let's take a look, shall we?
I've been reading A-Team fanfiction. I've been a fan of that TV show for years (and the movie was a whole lot of fun, too) and every so often I like to indulge in a few fics, though it's so hard to find the good stuff. I mostly stick with fics by
JunkFoodMonkey. I love it when I can find an author who has written lots... otherwise, you just have to sort through so much bad stuff before finding the good. I'm hooked on Cabin Fever right now.
I'm reading fanfiction for the Chronicles of Narnia.
The Chronicles of Narnia. Which is just, y'know, what the hell? I've been a fan of the books since I was a little girl and I still reread them every now and then, but I've never been sucked into their fandom before. Now, suddenly, I'm a shipper of Caspian and Edmund (mostly movie!verse, but some book!verse stuff, too). I'm also reading a series by
Elecktrum right now, which is honestly better than most of the books I've read recently. Thank God I found it, because I've been reading some
bad books lately. And not bad in a good way.
I've been reading and writing Harry Potter fic. Harry Potter was actually one of my first ever fandoms, and so it's good to be back. I'm mostly a Harry/Draco and Remus/Sirius shipper, but when it comes to HP fandom, I'm really not fussy. I'll read just about anything.
And finally, I'm writing QAF fic again! I'm still having a really hard time finding Brian's voice (Justin's comes a little easier), but that's not the point. The point is that I
want to. I'm mostly playing around with drabbles, which should be posted soonish, but I'm thinking of longer fics... if I could think of something to write about. I guess I'll just have to watch lots of episodes and wait for inspiration, right? Oh, the things we tortured artists go through...
Okay, one last thing. Bring Back the Porn on September 1st! You can find all the details on the challenge
here. Even I'm writing something - a Harry/Draco fic that, for some reason, wants to turn plotty. My PWP might just have to turn into Porn With Plot. Or - gasp, shock, horror! - Plot with Porn.
Thanks for sticking with me throughout my rambling about fandoms I know a lot (if not all) of you aren't in. I just wanted to post.
